    Full Branding Kit: $500 CAD

    Your brand is so much more than just a logo—it tells your story, sets you apart, and connects you with your ideal audience. A cohesive and professional brand creates recognition and leaves a lasting impression. We help you craft a brand that authentically reflects your vision.

    This package includes custom logo suite (primary logo, secondary logo, submark/favicon), custom typography suite, custom colour palette, brand collaterals, and brand style guide (and usually some bonuses because Shay simply can’t help herself).

    Website Design: starting at $1250 CAD

    Once you have your brand established, we can put it to use to bring your website to life. Utilizing your branding kit we can create a hub for everything your readers need to know. Social media is great for spreading the word, but with the ever changing and finicky nature of social media, a website is the perfect landing page for everything your readers/customers need to know.

    Pricing varies upon the website style (e.g. a one page long form site, or multi page website, store fronts and portfolios extra).

    We will read your book, and pull lines and scenes to use for marketing. Can be provided in a document or screenshot format with hooks to be used for content creation, merch, and marketing.

    Now more than ever, we understand the goldmine that is keyword captions and engagement on social media, because if you don’t have a social media strategy, no one will see your beautiful content.

    Giveaway collabs are a fantastic way to promote your books to new audiences while also giving back to your loyal readers.

    We can take the hassle out of giveaway management by finding authors within a similar genre or niche to collaborate with, creating the graphics, scheduling the collaboration post, choosing and announcing the winner(s) and gathering and distributing their contact information to involved authors.

  • Cost: $40 CAD/hour

    Need some assistance in managing Meta Ads for you book? It can be difficult ensuring you have ad worthy content and ad copy that will drive readers to clicking on your book.

    Share your budget with us, add us to your meta business suite ad account and we can take it from there.

    The initial set up can take a handful of hours to create the ad content & ad copy, setting up a unique to you target audience, and determining appropriate ad placements. Beyond that it is minor weekly maintenance with tweaks here and there to improve performance.

  • eBook Distribution: $50 CAD
    Audiobook Distribution: $100 CAD

    We will send out your epub to your list of readers, watermaked through our BookFunnel account.

    We will send out codes to your list of listeners, through either our BookFunnel account or individually as Audible codes.

  • Cost: $250 CAD

    How exactly does one “summarize” thousands of words in a book into a 250-300 word blurb? It’s not easy.

    But at HBL, we don’t simply summarize your book. We recognize that blurbs are important marketing tools to entice readers. That’s why we write blurbs from a marketing lens to help you sell more copies.

  • Cost: $40 CAD

    Are you comfortable creating content, but need help coming up with ideas on what to post? Need a video call to plan your marketing strategy? Need someone to bound plot ideas off of?

    Whether it’s a standing weekly appointment or a panicked, in-the-moment cry for help, we’re here for whatever you need. These one hour meetings can be used however you need them.

  • Cost: $40 CAD/hour

    Wondering if newsletters are worth it? The answer is 100% yes.

    Let’s be honest, while social media is an incredibly valuable tool, it can also be the bane of everyone’s existence. Newsletters give you direct access to the inboxes of your subscribers, aka people who choose to actually read updates!

    We can do everything from creating a visually appealing newsletter in your branding, managing author swaps, importing new subscribers and distributing your newsletter at your preferred frequency.

    Cost: $100 CAD weekly for author swap management, hourly beyond that

    General Administrative Tasks: $40 CAD/hour)

HBL Author Perks

Obviously the most important thing to know is the lifetime access to all the free perks of becoming an HBL author. That’s right, lifetime. Meaning whether you use our service once or long term, you have access to the following:

  • Our entire team’s knowledge and expertise via email. Looking for advice about the best time to release your book? No problem, shoot us an email and we’re happy to share our recommendations.

  • Our ever growing stock photo & video library & google doc with trending content ideas.

  • Free pr opportunities. Each week, we spin our wheel of authors and select 2 authors to receive a free PR post across our HBL socials.

  • Author exclusive Facebook group where you can connect with other HBL authors.

Our Review Copy Process

Authors often ask us when they should reach out to secure their spot on our calendar. The answer? The sooner the better! We begin the ARC process six weeks in advance of your release date. Here’s a break down of our proven strategy:

  • 6 weeks pre-release(or sooner if possible): Send HBL your book cover, tropes, and blurb. We create and schedule all of our content 2 weeks prior to being posted to social media and emailed out to our master influencer list.

  • 4 weeks pre-release: Sign ups are opened. We announce that a review copy of your book is available for sign ups on social media, via email to our master influencer list, and list sign ups on our website.

  • 2 weeks pre-release: We will distribute review copies via our BookFunnel account with watermarks to help prevent piracy. We accommodate those who missed the sign ups if they reach out to us prior to release day.

  • 1-2 days pre-release: Review submission form is opened and announced via social media and email to those who received review copies. This serves as a reminder to readers that release day is approaching and to submit their reviews ASAP, which causes an influx of reviews on or around release day (this can help with getting “Best Seller” and other flags on Amazon).

  • Release Day: If you booked one of our Book Release Bundles, we will make a release day post on our socials to help you celebrate.

  • 2 weeks post-release: A reminder to submit review links is shared across our socials and via email to readers. At this time we will also recommend a list of readers who have read and submitted reviews for your book that we suggest you send physical copies to. It is at your discretion how many you send out, but we recommend at least one. This is how we incentivize readers to read and submit reviews in a timely manner (bonus: when you send them physical copies, they usually post about it on their socials which continues to generate more buzz around your book)!

  • 4 weeks post-release: Last call reminder to submit review links is distributed via email and across our socials.

  • 6 weeks post-release: We will send you a wrap up with review details.

Rush Fees

As a team, we all have a hand in the process of supporting our authors, whether it be creating content, preparing emails, scheduling social media posts, everyone on the HBL team has a hand in making providing you with quality services. In order to stay on top of all of these services and allowing enough time for each member of the team do their part, we have a strict two week timeline to ensure everything is completed in a timely manner while not burning our staff out. In order to maintain that healthy work/life balance boundaries, in the event an author needs services to be completed in less than our two week timeline, the services will be subject to rush fees. The social media content rush fee is $50 CAD while all other services are subject to a $100 CAD rush fee.
